About Aromapressure

Aromapressure is a physiotherapy method based on rehab and medical lymphatic drainage.

It was developed by Daniel Mardon, a French lymphatic drainage expert, alongside a Doctor of Medicine.

For the body, for the mind—
A therapy for everyone.

Medical Lymph Drainage
Medical Lymph Drainage

Lymphatic drainage was created in France during the 1930s to care for inflammatory and chronic conditions. Today, it continues to be used in medical settings to manage swelling (edema) after surgery.

However, because it involves complex technical terms and is rarely taught systematically in European schools, the technique is often misunderstood by the general public. In Japan, it is a reality that some places offer lymphatic drainage or lymphatic massage without holding proper knowledge.

In Europe, lymphatic drainage is medically recognized as an effective way to reduce swelling and fat accumulation. Its high effectiveness has been proven over many years. Furthermore, studies show it helps with a wide range of symptoms, including headaches, sinus issues, insomnia, burns, pain, and cellulite.

Daniel Mardon and medical advisor Dr. Jean-François Doridon, M.D., conducted extensive research using this traditional drainage as their foundation. They advanced the technique to work for the entire body, creating Medical Lymph Drainage. Daniel Mardon believes it is essential to keep evolving this historic technique alongside modern scientific and medical advancements.

Physiotherapy / Thermalism
Physiotherapy/Thermalism

Physiotherapy is a treatment method used to restore body functions. Instead of using medication or surgery, it addresses disorders caused by illness, injury, or deformity through massage, exercise, hydrotherapy, and thermalism (mineral spring therapy).

Living is deeply tied to movement. When movement is blocked, the body is not in a healthy state. This idea forms the very foundation of physiotherapy. This hands-on, external therapy is both safe and effective.

French physiotherapists are similar to physical therapists in the United States. However, a major difference is that French professionals complete a longer, broader curriculum that includes medical massage and hydrotherapy in addition to exercise therapy.

The goal of physiotherapy is to help people with illnesses, injuries, or disabilities regain independence, return to work, and enjoy daily life without surgery. It aims to maximize a person’s natural capabilities.

Aromapressure focuses on prevention (injury prevention and healthy aging) and overall well-being for everyone.

Among its techniques, joint movement, stretching, and resistance exercises are highly effective for balancing muscles and realigning the body. We believe this approach is vital for many people living in the modern world.

Clinical Aromatherapy™
Clinical Aromatherapy™

Aromatherapy is a natural therapy that uses aromatic compounds extracted from plants (essential oils) to maintain, improve, or restore physical and mental health. Often referred to as “fragrance therapy,” it is well known that essential oils stimulate the brain and trigger definite biological responses.

Aromatherapy is said to have originated around ancient Egypt. It was later researched and developed as a science in France before spreading from the UK to the rest of the world.

In the UK, aromatherapy is mostly viewed as a natural therapy used to enjoy fragrances or to influence emotions and the mind. In France, however, aromatherapy is much closer to regular medicine. Essential oils are sold in pharmacies just like standard medication and are used both topically (on the skin) and orally (ingested).

Daniel Mardon focused on the biological and physical effects of the complex chemical compounds found in essential oils, which include natural vitamins, hormone-like components, antibacterial agents, and antioxidants. To maximize these benefits, he paid strict attention to the ingredients. He selected specific essential oils whose components vary by region of origin to develop Clinical Aromatherapy Oils.

The Clinical Aromatherapy Series makes these same professional-grade oils available for your daily self-care routine.

Kokoro (Mind/Soul) Care Therapy
Kokoro care Therapy

Physical pain and emotional pain are deeply connected.

When the body is in pain, it easily triggers emotional pain like anxiety and fear. In turn, that mental state can make physical pain feel even more intense.

Even though the body and mind are connected, many people try to fix only their mind when they feel emotional distress. However, the body is an entry point to the mind. Gently working on the body is a proven way to ease mental tension and anxiety.

Research shows that receiving a massage increases the release of oxytocin—often called the “love hormone”—while simultaneously reducing stress hormones.

The comfort and sense of security that come from physical touch, combined with boosted body circulation and relaxed muscles, create a powerful synergy. This synergy reduces physical pain and melts away mental tension.

Using physiotherapy to boost oxytocin levels is a highly effective way to ease both physical and emotional pain.

Pressure Point Therapy
Pressure Point Therapy

The human body relies on the traditional concepts of “acupressure points” and “meridians.”

Acupressure points (commonly known as pressure points) are energy centers that regulate the flow of Qi (energy) and blood in Eastern medicine. It is said that there are over 1,000 acupoints in the human body. Among them, 361 acupoints are officially recognized by the WHO (World Health Organization). Stimulating an acupoint creates a reflex response in the corresponding internal organs and tissues, helping to regulate their function. This mechanism has become much clearer in recent years through modern science.

Meridians, on the other hand, are the 14 energy pathways that flow through the human body. They connect our internal organs to the surface of the body and circulate throughout the entire system. Acupoint therapy focuses primarily on the pressure points located along these 14 meridians.

Aromapressure uses a unique approach to target these acupoints and meridians. By stimulating the body’s “energy channels,” our method boosts circulation, enhances metabolism, and restores total body balance.

Mineral Therapy
Mineral Therapy

During the Middle Ages, alchemists believed that everything—including humans, plants, and stones—possessed a “body, spirit, and soul.”

They believed that the “mineral world has the power to help us, just like the plant kingdom.” Following this line of thought, the “Gaia hypothesis” was born in recent years. This theory views Earth as a single living organism where everything—soil, water, rocks, air, the moon, and the sun—functions in harmony, working together as a team rather than against each other.

With this philosophy as our inspiration, Aromapressure became the first in the world to blend aromatherapy oils and minerals together in the same bottle. By infusing the oils with the energy and vibrations of natural stones, we create a deeper, powerful synergy.
(Note: Some of our oils are blended without minerals).

As a physiotherapist in his native country of France, Daniel Mardon managed post-operative care for cancer patients in medical institutions. He also provided body care for professional athletes, including soccer players, and top fashion models in Paris.

His quest to create a highly effective therapy began with a simple goal: to help patients feel better, help athletes achieve peak performance, and help models reduce swelling to enhance their beauty. He used lymphatic drainage as his foundation and integrated physiotherapy to better realign the body.

As he worked closely with clients across the medical, sports, and beauty industries, he realized the importance of incorporating plant-based aromatherapy. He carefully selected essential oils based on specific wellness goals, which led to the creation of Clinical Aromatherapy.

A few years later, the Aromapressure® method was officially established in Hawaii. Today, it continues to evolve by always integrating the latest scientific and medical discoveries.

To ensure anyone can enjoy these professional-grade oils at home, Daniel Mardon also created the “Treat Yourself Kit” for daily self-care.
