高橋結子 Yuko‘Ohia Takahashi
Lymphatic Drainage Specialist & Physiotherapist
Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), State of Hawaii, USA
Medical Care & Recovery Support Counselor, Okinawa Federation of Cancer Patient Associations (General Incorporated Association)
Full Member, Okinawa Chapter of the Japanese Society for Integrative Medicine (JIM)

After facing her own physical recovery following a car accident, Yuko began studying aromatherapy and massage therapy. She later worked as an instructor at a therapy school in Tokyo, teaching aromatherapy and herbal studies. Following this, she traveled to France and Hawaii to master lymphatic drainage, successfully completing all courses offered by Aromapressure.
On the island of Maui, Hawaii, she studied Hawaiian Herbal Medicine, Lomilomi massage, and traditional Hawaiian healing. For her dedication, she was awarded the title of Lomilomi Specialist and was given the name of the sacred Hawaiian flower, “‘Ohia.” During her time living in Hawaii, she provided care for an exclusive clientele that included members of the Hawaiian royal family.
Upon returning to Japan, she collaborated with Daniel Mardon to oversee technical supervision and training for hotel spas and salons, conduct seminars for healthcare and eldercare professionals, and lead self-care workshops for individuals with lymphedema. She has also been deeply involved in developing Aromapressure techniques and products.
Grounded in anatomy and physiology, she teaches the Aromapressure method with an approach that translates complex internal bodily mechanisms into clear, easy-to-understand language.
Her contributions to the monthly martial arts magazine Hiden sparked a deep connection with traditional Okinawan karate. Today, she continues to write from the perspectives of movement anatomy, physiotherapy, and Okinawan history, while actively working to share traditional Okinawan karate with the world.
Furthermore, she focuses her energy on education at the Aromapressure School and various writing projects. Her goal is to help people truly understand how manual therapy affects the body so that high-quality therapeutic care can reach as many individuals as possible.
